Tom studied Linguistics and History in Stuttgart, Germany, after graduating with a Linguistics and German honors B.A, from Augsburg College, in Minneapolis. After completing his M.A. in TESL from the U of Minnesota, Tom worked in Stuttgart for another 15 years as Director of Studies for a professional language school. Upon returning to the US in 2012, Tom began teaching in the Intensive English Program at UW - Eau Claire, and has since taught TEFL/TESOL courses in Second-Language Acquisition and ESL Assessment, as well as courses in Business English and Beginning German. Tom's specialties within the Intensive English Program include pronunciation and study skills.
