On July 4, 2025, the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) was signed into law. The information on our Financial Aid Updates page will provide guidance on what has changed related to federal student aid programs. These regulations are scheduled to become effective on July 1, 2026.
We will continue to provide and share them with you as the U.S. Department of Education (ED) continues to finalize the rules regarding OBBBA.
