Florence Pattee

Florence taught English to speakers of other languages internationally for over 12 years in Mexico, Turkey, Colombia, Thailand, Malaysia, and Vietnam before joining UWEC in Spring 2025. She earned her B.A. in Philosophy from St. Mary’s University in Winona, Mn and an M.A. in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from the University of Wisconsin, River Falls. In 2021, Florence was a Virtual English Language Fellow through the U.S State Department where she conducted various teacher training workshops for instructors at Dong That University in Vietnam. Florence is committed to providing culturally responsive student-centered lessons in a positive and inclusive learning environment and is a lifelong learner herself. In 2023, she continued her professional development by earning the Trinity Diploma in TESOL (DipTESOL) while working for the British Council in Hanoi, Vietnam.
