Delivering essential mental health care

The Psychological Services Center, a clinic staffed by faculty members from the Department of Psychology's highly regarded School Psychology Graduate Program, is located within the Human Development Center.

The center provides psychological and family assessment and intervention, parent training, and academic and behavioral intervention and consultation services to clients referred from the community.

  • Allied disciplines also participate in the center, providing a variety of consulting services, including health, education, and assessment.
  • Typical referral concerns involve behavior and school performance problems.
  • Clients referred to the Psychological Services Center are often not in need of more comprehensive evaluations like those offered by the Interdisciplinary Assessment Clinic.
  • Charges for assessment services provided by the HDC range from $200-$300. In the event of financial hardship, clients may apply for reduced fees.

The Psychological Services Center is located in the Human Development Center on the campus of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, in the Human Sciences and Services building, 239 Water Street. The center is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Client services typically take place on Fridays.
