Meal Plans

Make it easy to dine

If you live in a residence hall on campus or in one of the student hotels, you must purchase an on-campus meal plan. If you live in Chancellor’s Hall, Haymarket Landing, Mogenson Hall or Priory Hall, you are not required to buy a meal plan but may do so if you like. Faculty and staff may also find it convenient to buy a meal plan.

We offer four meal plans for campus residents and three that are tailored for off-campus students plus faculty and staff. Each plan is designed to fill different needs, so look over the choices to see which fits you best. However, note that if you are an on-campus resident and do not stipulate which plan you prefer, you will automatically be assigned the Platinum meal plan. Just simply present your Blugold card at your desired dining location and state what type of meal plan you are using.

Selecting/Changing meal plans

Online meal plan selections for the fall 2018 semester are permitted through July 31, 2018 at http://rms.uwec.edu, but only after receiving a housing assignment. After July 31, 2018, meal plan changes can be made through Aug. 24, 2018 at http://rms.uwec.edu. After Aug. 24, 2018, meal plan changes must be made in person at Blugold Card Services, located on the first floor of Davies Center, next to U.S. Bank. The deadline for making changes to meal plans is Sept. 12, 2018 at 1 p.m. Meal plans cannot be changed over the phone or via email or fax. No meal plan changes are allowed after Sept. 12, 2018 at 1 p.m.

Meal plan dollars

Meal plan dollars are used as cash equivalent to make dining purchases at any campus dining location. All plans include some meal plan dollars. They have no cash value and expire at the end of each semester.

Block meals are predetermined meals for students. There are 25 block meals from which to choose. Additional block meals can be purchased in person at Blugold Card Services, in blocks of 20 for $150. Unused additional block meals don't expire until your relationship with UWEC ends.

Meal plan participants agree to pay UWEC the fees established by the University of Wisconsin System Board of Regents. UWEC reserves the right to change meal plan rates should costs related to providing those services increase more than was anticipated at the time the rates were originally established.

By requesting that meal plan charges be billed to their student account, meal plan participants agree to accept the conditions of the partial payment plan. Meal plan participants thereby apply for installment credit and agree to pay the down payment and installments when due. This agreement is executed in compliance with the Wisconsin Consumer Act.
