Register for Independent Study

If you are planning on taking a course in independent study, directed study, or an internship outside of current course offerings, you must get approval to do so. We highly recommend you work closely with your academic advisor and the faculty instructor you are planning on taking the course with before starting this process.

Step 1

You will need to work with a faculty member to agree on a course topic, number of credits, assessments and due dates. You will need this information to complete the independent/directed study approval eform.

Step 2

You will be required to enter in the faculty member the course will be with, along with your advisor on the eform. By doing so, this will automatically route the form for the appropriate signatures. Once all signatures are complete, the eform will be processed by Blugold Central and you will be registered for the course. You should receive an email once the registration is complete.
