UW-Eau Claire’s Health Careers Center team is proud to be working with the Mayo Clinic Health System team to make this unique program available to you and the community at large.
About The Medical Academy Program

The Medical Academy Program is a six-week series of presentations about the body and the wonder of health care. The academy will be held on the UW-Eau Claire campus, and six Mayo Clinic Health System physicians will lead the presentations. The 90-minute sessions will be held on six consecutive Mondays from 6-7:30 p.m. in Centennial Hall (Room 1415), starting April 1.
The sessions included are:
- April 1- Dr. Timothy Young, Neurology
- April 8- Dr. Amy Rantala, Orthopedics
- April 15- Dr. Andrew Calvin, Cardiology
- April 22- Dr. Michael Colgan, Dermatology
- April 29- Dr. Jason Beckermann, Gastroenterology
- May 6- Dr. Mark Deyo Svendsen, Family Medicine (and completion of program)
Program Information
Registration for the program has closed, and the event is SOLD OUT. Those who have registered will receive confirmation via email.
These programs will be held on UW-Eau Claire Campus, Centennial Hall Room 1415. Centennial Hall is located at 1698 Park Ave, Eau Claire, WI 54701.
The doors will open at 5:30 p.m. with the programs beginning at 6 p.m.
Each program will be approximately 90 minutes.
Cost
Registration for the program has closed, and the event is SOLD OUT. Those who have registered will receive confirmation via email.
- Community Members: $50 + $3 Registration Fee (which includes all six sessions)
- Students (16+): Free
Parking:
Parking available in the Hibbard or Phillips Lot (Stalls F, S or G) where parking is free after 4 p.m. (see map above). Please avoid parking in spaces marked AMP unless you pay to park there, as you will get a ticket.
