Learning by doing history

All history majors at UWEC complete an independent research project for their senior capstone thesis. Many also participate in research collaborations with department faculty on national and international topics. Our majors present their research at local, state and national conferences. This wealth of research experience sets our graduates apart, giving them a competitive advantage when applying to graduate school and when pursuing careers in a variety of fields requiring research skills and independent initiative.
