Tournaments
We're going places
Most tournaments we attend occur over the weekends (leaving on Friday afternoon and returning late Sunday night). We do attend a few one- day tournaments on Tuesdays over in the Twin Cities Area. With the forensics season beginning in late Sept and ending with Nationals in April, you'll find yourself traveling all over the country to compete.
We also host tournaments
Students travel as far as Texas and Florida, or as close as the University of Wisconsin-Stout to compete at UWEC. We host plenty of tournaments throughout the course of the year, including an occasional Mid America Forensic League (MAFL) tournament in the fall to our annual High School tournament the first weekend in February and the beloved W.I. Lovefest Swing around Valentine's Day Weekend. So if you are looking to judge or check out an intercollegiate forensics tournament for yourself, contact us.
When I think about what personally has impacted me the most about the activity, it’s the way it encouraged all of us young people to look at what we were saying — and why — with a critical lens. We honed in on what we cared about. We struggled to articulate it or to perform it in a way to get others to care, too. And I think so many of us alumni continue to share what we care about in our own ways because it’s been carved out in us...it comes naturally.
Hosted events
We host tournaments for college and high school students, giving our team the chance to learn the behind the scenes of running a competitive and fun tournament experience.
