Communicating Chemistry

Chemists communicate with one another about molecules by using chemical structures. ChemDraw is a application that allows you to draw these structures on your computer and to copy-and-paste them into other documents. ChemDraw can also analyze your structures and provide you physical data, such a molecular weights and predicted boiling points, melting points and solubilities.

UW-Eau Claire has a site license to ChemDraw Prime, so any student or faculty member may download a free copy of the application and install it on their personal computer (Mac or Windows). When you click on the link below it will take you to the download page at the PerkinElmer website. You will be prompted first to login. If you do not already have an account with PerkinElmer, you will need to create one. After you down load ChemDraw, you will next be instructed to click on the "Order History" link on the left to look up the access key. Go to the order that is dated Jan. 7, 2020.
