For visitors, students and faculty/staff alike, parking can cause confusion on a college campus. At UWEC, we want everyone to be informed about what our parking system looks like and never be left wondering, can I park here? See below for Summer 2026 parking information.
Our Focus
Parking policies and regulations at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire are aimed at enhancing public safety, maintaining flexibility and choice, meeting customer demand for convenience and affordability and supporting the University's mission and goals. The parking and transportation unit has a comprehensive approach that includes managing parking assets, promoting transit and alternative modes of transportation.
Updates for Summer 2026
UWEC Upper Campus:
Starting at 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 14th through September 1st, no permits are required for ‘R’ Residence Hall, ‘A’ Activity, or ‘B’ Bollinger parking.
Please note: This does not include the Corner and Meadows lots. Beginning May 18th, the Corner lot will return to CVTC parking regulations/ enforcement and no parking will be available in the Meadows lot. Vehicles parked in the Meadows lot may be subject to tickets and or towing.
All other parking regulations over summer will be enforced on upper campus parking lots.
UWEC Lower Campus:
Starting at 8 a.m. on Monday, May 11th through Friday May 15th, Visitor Lot A will temporarily be changed to AMP payment required, 8 a.m.-9 p.m. daily.
Visitor Lot A will temporarily be closed beginning 9pm on Sunday, May 17th through Monday, May 25th for lot maintenance. May 26th at 8 a.m., it will return to Visitors Permit Required, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
All other parking regulations over summer will be enforced on lower campus parking lots.
UWEC Priory campus:
Starting at 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 14th through September 1st, ‘F’, ‘S’, and ‘R’ permits are not required for the Priory parking lot.
All other parking regulations over summer will be enforced at the Priory campus.
