Student Employment

Children's Center imageThe Children's Center hires approximately 80 students each semester to work as teacher assistants in the preschool classrooms. It is desirable to hire students who have federal work-study allocation, although it is not required. Students work in 4-5 hour shifts. The morning shift is from 7:30 or 8 am until noon. The afternoon shift is from noon to 4:30 or 5 pm. Some evening hours are also available. Most students work at least two shifts per week or between 9-10 hours.

The Children's Center, which is located on campus, has children ranging from 2 through 5 years of age. The Infant and Toddler Program, which is located at 300 E. Hamilton Avenue, has fifteen children from 6 weeks to 2 years.

If you have a passion for working with young children and are interested in a fun job with great learning experiences, complete the online application or print an application and turn it in to the Children's Center.
