Purpose of the Organization

The CVSO currently performs five classical music concerts per year. In 2010 the CVSO also began backing rock and pops performers. Several fundraisers are held each year, including private recitals and garden and Christmas strolls. A music camp was started in the summer of 2011. Outreach activities include teaching local third-graders about orchestras and coordinating with local art classes to create works based on pieces of music. The orchestra consists of 65 members. Nobu Yasuda is Music Director. The staff consists of an executive director, an operations coordinator, a bookkeeper and a librarian.

Volunteer Opportunities Available

Volunteer opportunities include administrative help in the office, helping with the strolls, writing press releases, updating social media, publishing program notes, sales of tickets and advertising, mass mailings, newsletters.
