Biographical / Historical Note

Women in Higher Education (WHE) was established in 1971 as the Association of Faculty of Women, University of Wisconsin -- Eau Claire.   The group soon adopted the current name and admitted staff and student members.  WHE has 3040 members, all women, who call attention to and address gender inequities in higher education.  The group raises money for scholarships and hosts programs, including lectures, “brown-bags” with the chancellor, and social gatherings. 

Content Description

The records contain meeting minutes, membership records, financial records, newsletters, and some correspondence, fliers, and steering committee reports.
