Biographical Note
Pearl Seguin attended Eau Claire High School circa 1914-1917 and Eau Claire State Normal School circa 1917-1919. She graduated Milwaukee State Teachers’ College in 1940. She worked as a teacher in the Eau Claire area for a number of years, specializing in the education of deaf children. She died in January 1989.
Content Description
The collection consists primarily of pamphlets on World War I, Memorial Day, American citizenship, and the League of Nations. A flag, labeled “College Service Flag,” may have been used in remembrance of World War I soldiers from the Eau Claire State Normal School. The collection also includes programs, including a 1925 Ku Klux Klan “State Klonvokation” program from Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Signed yearbooks from Eau Claire State Normal School, photographs of Eau Claire schools, and a fragmentary correspondence file complete the collection.
