The University Staff Professional Development Day is a yearly event open to all UWEC faculty and staff.
Professional Development Day 2020 canceled due to COVID-19
Message from the Professional Development committee
The Professional Development Committee wants to thank you for your continued support and excitement about our on-site Professional Development Day. It is something to look forward to and allows us to learn and grow in new ways. This years’ event was scheduled to take place on Thursday, June 4, 2020, and was going to be offered in conjunction with the UW Eau Claire Wellness Fair.
Seeing continued cancellations across campus and hearing the concerns of our peers, our Committee has made an informed decision to cancel Professional Development Day for the remainder of 2020. The UW-Eau Claire Wellness Fair, which was to be included in this year’s event, has also been cancelled. Health, safety, and peace of mind are our top priority. We wish there was the option to have the event later this year; however, there are several factors that led us to cancel instead of delay. We want all of those who partake in this day to be safe and healthy.
We are saddened by this decision, but we will most certainly have a jump start on next year’s event. We look forward to seeing you at Professional Development Day 2021.
