Rachel began working as the Inbound/Outbound Mobility Coordinator at the Center for International Education in November of 2016. She received her Bachelor of Social Work from UW-Eau Claire in 2011, and is currently a Certified Social Worker in the state of Wisconsin. Prior to returning to campus, Rachel's past work experience includes community organizing and researching public policy with several non-profits that served UW students and social work professionals. Her most recent work experience was at a local skilled nursing facility serving as an admissions coordinator in the social work department. Rachel participated in a German American Partnership Program (GAPP) while in high school and spent time in Austria, Germany, and France.
Rachel is the primary liaison between partner universities abroad for incoming and outgoing exchange students. She manages the CIE's application software, co-advises the International Student Association (ISA), oversees the student assistants in the CIE, assists with immigration advising, and liaises with other UW-Eau Claire departments on campus. In her free time, she enjoys working out, reading, being outside, cooking, and spending time with her husband and two cats at home.
