Cheryl has a B.A. in German/Secondary Education from Concordia College, Moorhead, Minnesota and an M.A. in Counseling and Student Personnel Psychology from the University of Minnesota. She has studied in Germany, worked as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Germany, and conducted her master's research in Guatemala. She worked in international education at both of her alma maters prior to coming to Eau Claire as a Study Abroad Coordinator. Cheryl is a Certified Education Abroad Professional through the Forum on Education Abroad and is an assessor for other professionals completing the program. In her free time, you'll find her outside biking, skiing, kayaking, or gardening.
Cheryl designs study abroad orientation and works with the advising interns. She administers the study abroad integrative learning requirement, spearheads curriculum integration initiatives, represents the office on various committees, and is the campus adviser for the U.S. Student Fulbright program. She also manages and does student advising for all Spanish-speaking study abroad programs and most programs in continental Europe.
