Karen Cristal Dominguez

After completing 3,400 hours of service with Marshfield Clinic AmeriCorps serving Blugold Beginnings, I wanted to continue my work with program. I currently manage programming at Altoona Middle and High School and South Middle School where we work with over 60 students. I oversee a wonderful group of college students who serve as mentor and tutor the students enrolled in the program. 

I also provide support to the Blugold Cohort of the Blugold Beginnings Learning Community. I was a member part of the inaugural class of Blugold Beginnings Learning Community where I was able to utilize the many resources the program provided me. The Blugold Beginnings Learning Community had a tremendous impact on my college experience at UWEC.  It is an honor to now be able give back to the program that has done so much for me. I am excited and honored to work with colleagues and students who strive to do very best at what they do.
