Important campus conversation: An invitation

In late August, the UW-Eau Claire campus community began a conversation intended to inform the shaping of our recruitment and retention efforts. The goal: To better tell the story of who we are as a university.

It’s time for the next step in ensuring that we get our message right — and share it with those students who will thrive here. To ensure success, this is important work that all —students, faculty and staff — must do together.

How can you help? Attend one — or both, if at all possible — of two upcoming conversations. (Snacks and beverages will be provided, and attendees are free to also bring a lunch to sessions held over the noon hour.) These highly interactive sessions for students, faculty and staff will be offered Oct. 16, 17 and 18 in the Hibbard Hall Penthouse:

  • “Who Is UW-Eau Claire?” (8-10 a.m., 11 a.m.-1 p.m. or 2-4 p.m. Oct. 16): If you did not attend the Campus Conversation in August, consider participating in one of these sessions to help define UW-Eau Claire’s authentic human personality.
  • “Sharing the UW-Eau Claire Story” (8-10 a.m., 11 a.m.-1 p.m. or 2-4 p.m. Oct. 17 OR 8-10 a.m. or 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Oct. 18): Attend one of these sessions that will take the insights from the “Who Is UW-Eau Claire?” sessions and translate them into narrative for sharing with prospective students and our other key audiences.

NOTE: Participation in an Oct. 16 session is NOT required before you can attend a session on Oct. 17 or 18.

Register today for the session(s) that fit your schedule.

To ensure we succeed in our strategic enrollment and retention efforts, involvement is needed by those who know this campus best —and that means you!
