The delegation from Huaqiao University visited UWEC at April 21. They talked about the agreement of CHEPD program with UWEC Chancellors and went to the Jazz Festival at downtown Eau Claire. The international students from Huaqiao University also shared their experience at UW-Eau Claire to the delegation.
Students from China enrolled in UW-Eau Claire’s dual-degree program had to make a decision in spring 2020 whether to continue their education in the U.S. or return to their homeland during the pandemic. Those who stayed are graduating in May.
When Lan Yang came from a coastal city in China to study at UW-Eau Claire, she found exactly what she was looking for — snow. A finance major in a dual-degree program, she will earn a degree from UW-Eau Claire and her college in China.
Allie and Chloe Knuth, twins from Green Bay, will graduate together this month from UW-Eau Claire, a campus they say is small enough that their lives sometimes overlap as students but big enough that they each could follow their own path.
