Crossing the Line: The Milwaukee Fair Housing Marches

| Greg Kocken

The Wisconsin Historical Society’s traveling exhibit “Crossing the Line: The Milwaukee Fair Housing Marches of 1967-1968,” is on display this October in McIntyre Library. The exhibit commemorates the 50th anniversary of fair housing and civil rights marches in Milwaukee by exploring issues of prejudice and segregation in Milwaukee throughout the 19th and 20th centuries. This traveling exhibit is on display through a partnership with the Communication and Journalism Department, and complimenting the Wisconsin Humanities Council’s program “Beyond the Headlines Eau Claire: Building Trust: Eau Claire and its Journalists Engage on Poverty.”
