An immersive international experience

A Blugold spent her summer studying in South Korea thanks to a prestigious international scholarship program that supports students interested in enhancing their global skills.

Pa Nyia Thao, a May 2015 communication sciences and disorders graduate, received a Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship to study at Ajou University’s International Summer School in Suwon, South Korea.

Thao is one of more than 1,000 American undergraduate students from 332 colleges and universities across the U.S. selected to receive the prestigious Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship this year.

Gilman scholars receive up to $5,000 to apply toward their study abroad or internship program costs.
