Slaughter, Boogren and Soli top finalists

Brandon Boogren, Jenna Slaughter and Somer Soli were the three top finalists at the 15th Annual Blugold Sales Challenge, held September 23-24 on the UW-Eau Claire campus. The 2016 competition was supported by a gift from Northwestern Mutual.

The Blugold Sales Challenge is designed to expose UW-Eau Claire students to a sales competition and give them professional feedback on their selling skills. Rank in the competition determines student participation in the UW-Eau Claire Great Northwoods Sales Warm-Up and other sales competitions held around the country during the 2016-17 academic year.

Soli and team members Patrick Gotham and Danielle Siegle will represent the Blugolds at the UW-Eau Claire Great Northwoods Sales Warm-Up, Oct. 20-22. Attending as an alternate and student assistant coach is Austin Samsa. Major sponsors for the competition are Hormel Foods and SUPERVALU.

Boogren and Slaughter will travel to Orlando to compete at the Florida State University International Collegiate Sales Competition, Nov. 2-5. Attending alternates and student assistant coaches are Josie Dickerson and Brock Offerdahl.

Members of the Blugold Sales Team will competed in a new sales competition hosted by Schlumberger. Round One of the Schlumberger Sales Challenge,  which will be held Oct. 31 on the UW-Eau Claire campus.  Finalists from this event will advance to Round Two of the competition which will be held Nov. 14-16 in Houston, TX.
