Scholar: Miranda Ricci Mentor: Dr. Nicole Schultz
I am a fourth year student at UWEC in the College of Arts and Sciences studying Organizational Communication. I am also pursuing a minor in Psychology and an American Sign Language certificate. I grew up in the small town of Cumberland, Wisconsin. I first attended UWEC-Barron County and attained an Associates of Arts and Sciences before transferring to main campus. My current research interest concerns how historically underrepresented, first-generation, low-income students perceive their experiences when pursuing a graduate program. As a first-gen, low-income student who is passionate about student affairs and student success, this research has proved to be valuable in many respects. I ultimately would like to work in higher education within the Dean of Students Office focusing on student affairs and success.
