My name is Ashley Gillett. I am a psychology major with a family studies minor from Thorp, WI. My mentor, Dr. Leibham and I are conducting survey based research during fall 2020 looking at college students’ perceptions of marriage and divorce. We will be focusing on whether students perceive marriage as a lifelong commitment and if this view varies based on if their parents have ever divorced or separated. After graduation, I hope to obtain a master’s degree in counseling psychology.
