New residence hall project to mean upper-campus parking changes

Parking changes will take effect Jan. 16 on UW-Eau Claire’s upper campus as the Governors parking lot becomes the staging area for the construction of the university’s new residence hall. (See related story.)
The following parking changes will occur:

  • The north section of the Governors lot, which will remain outside the construction staging area, will include six ADA parking stalls, 16 parking stalls for “R” permit holders, six stalls for “F” permit holders, four residence hall director parking stalls, eight metered parking stalls and five University Police parking stalls.
  • A portion of the “R” stalls in the Governors lot will be taken offline, and “R” permit holders will be able to use current “R” stalls in the Towers, Oak Ridge, Bridgman and Chancellors lots.
  • A portion of the “F” parking stalls formerly along the south end of the Governors lot will be relocated to the first row on the east side of the Bridgman lot.

Questions regarding the Governors lot parking changes can be directed to the Parking and Transportation Office at 715-836-3000 or
