During Convocation, Mr. Grant Skelnar will receive the Future Nursing Leader Award from the Wisconsin Nurses Association Award. Grant commented, "I would like to thank everyone who made my nursing school experience great. To my professors, thank you for always pushing us to be our best. And to my classmates, thank you for starting as my friends and ending as family."

Several nursing students will also be acknowledged for graduating with Honors through the University of Eau Claire Honors Program, including Larissa Furger, Tom Gugel, Misty Howland, Angel Schmidt and Kelsey Stoinski. They will receive an individually engraved gold medallion to wear at commencement and to keep as a memento of their Honors education.
