BSN graduates achieve 95% pass rate on NCLEX

The National Council of State Boards of Nursing has just released the April, 2014-March, 2015 Mountain Measures NCLEX report and UW-Eau Claire's Bachelor of Science Nursing (BSN) graduates have achieved a 95% pass rate. The NCLEX (National Council Licensure Examination) is the licensing exam nursing graduates must take to practice as a registered nurse.

Nursing faculty member, Dr. Shelley-Rae Pehler, stated, "This is the third year in a row that our graduates have maintained the 95% pass rate."

To compare with other programs:

  • UW-EC Nursing Program ranks 4th of 39 nursing programs in the state (this includes ADN as well as BSN programs) where the state pass rate was 86%.
  • UW-EC Nursing Program ranks of 60th of 756 BSN programs across the nation (where the pass rate for this group was 79%).

Congratulations to our Graduates!
