UW-Eau Claire International Folk Fair set for April 30


The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire will host the 2017 International Folk Fair from noon to 4 p.m. April 30 in UW-Eau Claire’s Davies Center. The event is free and open to the public.

One of the largest cultural celebrations in the Chippewa Valley, the International Folk Fair celebrates cultural diversity while bringing together the community for an educational and enriching experience.

The fair will have a new theme this year, focusing on global music. Dan Newton’s Café Accordion Orchestra will perform throughout the day. Attendees can learn about song, dance, rhythm, lyrics and musical instruments from all around the world. They also can learn about the language and history of other cultures and enjoy entertainment from the many participating groups.
