UW-Eau Claire Continuing Education seeks volunteers for 31st annual Senior Americans Day

Organizers of the 31st annual Senior Americans Day are seeking volunteers to assist with this year’s event, to be held June 4 in Davies Center at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

Senior Americans Day brings nearly 500 active adults over age 55 to campus for a day of learning, fun and camaraderie. This year, the event features a keynote address by Michael Perry, more than 40 workshops, door prizes, exhibitors and entertainment.

Volunteers are needed for the day of the event between 6:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Volunteer duties may include assisting participants with parking and directions to the day’s workshops, exhibits and lunch; facilitating lunches for event guests; and helping exhibitors/presenters set up and take down materials. All volunteers receive a free T-shirt and gratis breakfast and lunch ticket, and can sit in on any unfilled workshops.

Individuals interested in volunteering should contact Senior Americans Day coordinator Claire Lindstrom at couillcd@uwec.edu, Tamara Mumm at mummt@uwec.edu or may call 715-836-3636.
