University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education/UW Extended Campus connects people with possibilities by providing degrees and certificates for working adults, professional and workforce development, youth and community programs, and resources for business.

Following are upcoming programs that provide individuals with the opportunity to grow professionally and personally:

Northwinds Brass Band
Oct. 1-Dec. 3, Fine Arts Building, UW-Eau Claire – Barron County
The Northwinds Brass Band is formed in the British tradition of brass and percussion.

Writing for Your Life: One Story at a Time
Oct. 11-Nov. 15, online
The instructor — an award-winning author who has decades of teaching, writing, editing and publishing experience — will provide encouragement and guidance as you write your own story. Open your mind to new perspectives on writing memoirs.

Conversations about Change II: Advanced Motivational Interviewing
Oct. 13-Nov. 3, online
This online training is designed for those with prior introductory or intermediate training in motivational interviewing. This additional level of training will enhance participants’ skills and the application of motivational interviewing strategies.

Orientation, Time Management and Delegation
Oct. 19 and 20, online
Enhance your leadership skills to create a strong onboarding program and to empower your team.

Free Foot and Nail Care for the Community
Oct. 23-27, Grace Lutheran Church, Eau Claire
Free appointments will be provided for community members who would like help caring for their feet. Nurses will assess foot and nail health and determine areas that need attention. 

Beginning Grant Writing
Oct. 24 and 25, online
Gain the insights you need to begin the grant writing process with confidence using practices you can implement immediately.

Advanced Grant Writing
Oct. 26 and 27, online
Welcome, grant writers of all experience levels! In two three-hour online sessions, you will gain insider grant knowledge to build skills to successfully secure funding. We recommend taking Beginning Grant Writing first to gain baseline knowledge.
