The following is an overview of work completed since April 1, 2018, and expected in the next 30 days on UW-Eau Claire construction projects.

Work completed since April 1, 2018
Garfield Avenue redevelopment
- Installed bike racks between Old Library and Schofield Hall to the north.
- Installed two temporary light poles at the end of Roosevelt Avenue.
Karlgaard Towers south tower renovation
- Completed installing steel structure for new lobby.
- Completed student room window installs on south side.
- Completed plumbing rough-ins through floor 5.
- Completed rough electrical work in student rooms through floor 4.
- Completed heating, ventilation and air-conditioning installation through floor 6.
- Completed student room painting through floor 5.
- Completed construction of penthouse addition (to hold new HVAC unit).
- Completed installation of steel studs on floor 1.
- Completed tile installation in bathrooms on floors 9 and 8.
- Completed drywall installation in common areas on floors 5 and 4.
New residence hall
- Completed installing concrete basement walls.
- Completed new sanitary line install.
Work to be completed in next 30 days
Garfield Avenue redevelopment
- As weather permits, begin grading, irrigation installation and landscaping of project site, starting with Putnam Park outdoor classroom and Chippewa Lounge areas.
- On May 21, start utilities removal and replacement between Hibbard Hall and Kjer/Brewer/Zorn complex (expected completion June 8).
Karlgaard Towers south tower renovation
- Continue new window installations on north side of tower.
- Continue plumbing rough-ins on floors 4, 3 and 2.
- Continue rough electrical work in student rooms on floors 3 and 2.
- Continuing heating, ventilation and air-conditioning installation through floor 2.
- Continue student room painting in student rooms on floors 4, 3 and 2.
- Paint penthouse exterior and install doors.
- Continue installing rough electrical on floor 1.
- Continue installing second of two new elevators.
- Continue installation of steel studs on floor 2.
- Continue tile installation in bathrooms on floors 7 and 6.
- Continue drywall installation in common areas on floors 3 and 2.
- Install first-floor windows.
New residence hall
- Install block walls in basement.
- Continue installing footings on east side of structure.
- Continue backfilling up to foundation walls.
- On May 21, begin installation of steam, electrical and chilled water lines to new residence hall.
