Ward graduated from UW-Eau Claire with a geography major and computer science minor. He also received a master’s degree in geography from the University of Nebraska-Omaha in 1995. Ward co-founded ADC in 1996.
“ADC has grown from its initial roots in GIS consulting and programming to more of a cutting-edge, Web software development company,” Ward said. “We specialize in developing advanced Web and mobile software, usually revolving around some sort of spatial and mapping application.”
Ward said over the years the culture at ADC has evolved into what he calls more of a campus feel. There are no set hours, and employees can work from home. Those at the office may find themselves facing off in a game of volleyball, kickball or Frisbee golf.
Ward credits his time at UW-Eau Claire for ADC’s success.
“From the technical skills acquired to the community internships and real-world work experience, I received an education that set me up for graduate school and the future.”
