From Craftsman to Victorian: Exploring Architecture in Eau Claire
Wednesdays, Sept. 9-Oct. 7, Eau Claire
Enhance your knowledge of Eau Claire architectural history. Begin by exploring the city's built environment by studying the historic architecture of our region. This workshop will provide the tools to unravel the abundant history and fascinating discoveries of local architecture. 

Beginning Sign Language
Mondays, Sept. 14-Nov. 2, Eau Claire
Knowing the basics of sign language can be an invaluable skill. This class is designed for anyone interested in learning to communicate through sign. This introductory class is perfect for those with little or no sign language experience.

Getting to Know Our Neighbors: Living in the Golden Age of Extrasolar Planet Discoveries
Thursdays, Sept. 24-Oct. 15, Eau Claire
Learn about the high-technology methods astronomers used to discover 1,500 extra-solar planets, how they can determine their properties, and what new planet discovers tell us about the possibility of life elsewhere in the universe. 

Finding and Attaining Grant Funding for Your Nonprofit
Sept. 24, Hudson; Sept. 25, Eau Claire
With more than $300 billion available annually from tens of thousands of grant organizations, the morning session will discuss the ample opportunity to find grant funding for your nonprofit. The afternoon session will explore the basics of grant proposal writing, giving you insights into elements found in most proposals, how to recognize critical details to address and how to avoid common grant-writing mistakes. 

Supervisory Training: Learning to Lead

PCI Compliance: Best Practices in Credit Card Security

Thinking about going into business? The UW-Eau Claire Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is organizing a workshop where you can explore your business idea and assess your business readiness. This interactive workshop will provide hands-on exercises and a lot of resources and is designed for people who have not yet started a business.

Entrepreneurial Training Program

Understanding the full scope of what it takes to start and run a small business can be overwhelming. These 10 classes offered through the SBDC are designed specifically to help you develop a solid plan and learn what it takes to build a thriving business. Through instruction, guest speakers and coaching, the course serves those who are considering starting a business, owners of existing businesses and those with successful companies that they want to grow.
