Continuing Education announces October program offerings

University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education/UW Extended Campus connects people with possibilities by providing degrees and certificates for working adults, professional and workforce development, youth and community programs and resources for business.

Following are upcoming programs that provide the opportunity for individuals to grow professionally and personally:

Beginning Grant Writing
Oct. 11-12, online
Gain the insights you need to begin the grant-writing process with confidence, using practices you can implement immediately.

Creating Art with Alcohol Inks
Oct. 11-18, Haas Fine Arts Center, UW-Eau Claire campus
Are you interested in learning a new way to create art? Alcohol inks are a unique way to create art with vibrant, highly pigmented colors. Learn to work with alcohol inks and create your own pieces to take home.

Coaching Your Way to Engaged Employees
Oct. 13-21, online
Coaching is an effective and popular leadership style that helps employees feel empowered and engaged in their workplace. This online program will teach leaders strategies and provide tools to implement a coaching leadership style.

Advanced Grant Writing
Oct. 13-14, online
Welcome, grant writers of all experience levels! In two three-hour sessions, you will gain insider grant knowledge to build skills to successfully secure funding. We recommend taking Beginning Grant Writing first to gain baseline knowledge.

Free Foot and Nail Care for the Community
Oct. 17-21, Grace Lutheran Church, Eau Claire
After taking a break due to the pandemic, our free foot and nail care community clinic is returning. Once again, we will provide free appointments for community members who would like help caring for their feet.

Ethics and Boundaries: Compassion Fatigue, Burnout and Self Care
Oct. 28, online
The pandemic has caused an increase in workloads and longer waitlists for mental health professionals, leading many professionals to work beyond their capacity. Self care has never been more important.
