UW-Eau Claire moves classes online due to winter storm
Good afternoon Blugolds,
We have been closely monitoring the winter storm forecast. Due to the cyclical nature of the storms and the challenges with snow removal, we will not have in-person classes on our Eau Claire, Rice Lake or Marshfield campuses beginning at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday through Thursday evening. We have asked students to check Canvas to see which classes will be held remotely and to watch their email for messages from their instructors. For classes that span the 3:00 hour, please plan on leaving at 3:00. We will resume in-person classes and services on Friday morning at 8:00 a.m. Riverview Café at Hilltop and Marketplace in the Davies Center will have normal operating hours.
Our Facilities team will continue to make our campuses as safe as possible, and our custodial team will be shifted to aid in that effort. The University will remain open.
As always, please put your safety and the safety of others first and avoid any unsafe travel. Please plan extra time for travel and dress for conditions as you come to campus this week. Employees who are unable to travel should notify their supervisor.
