The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire’s Artists Series welcomes one of the country’s top comedy productions, The Second City, to a live performance at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 16, in the Ojibwe Ballroom of Davies Center.
The Second City is a Chicago-based improvisational comedy enterprise with training programs and live theaters in Toronto and Los Angeles. Currently celebrating 55 years of cutting-edge satirical revues, the theater troupe boasts such genius alumni as Eugene Levy, Tina Fey, Stephen Colbert, Steve Carell, Gilda Radner, Bill Murray and many more.
The touring show “The Second City: Remix” brings the next generation of comedy superstars and their new spin on company classic skits and songs, rebooted and re-imagined for 2021. The show, with two 45-minute sets and intermission, will bring the audience into the act, so come prepared to laugh and maybe be picked to tap your inner comedian.
The Second City is considered adult comedy, and this show comes with a mature-content label.
