The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Sales Team took first place in the undergraduate division at the 16th National Collegiate Sales Competition (NCSC) hosted by Kennesaw State University, March 29–31, 2014.
Two UW-Eau Claire students finished in the final four. Competing for UW-Eau Claire were Kelsey Keiser, a senior professional sales marketing major from Prairie Du Sac, WI, and Koral Pischer, a junior professional sales marketing major from Peshtigo, WI. Pischer took 3rd and Keiser placed 4th.
The undergraduate competition was won by Molly Altmire from Kennesaw State University.
UW-Eau Claire Jacob Hagglund, a senior professional sales marketing major from Neillsville, WI, and Steven Helgeson, a senior marketing analytics and finance double major from Eau Claire, WI attended the competition as alternates and assistant coaches. Jerry Kollross and Dr. Bob Erffmeyer, both from the UW-Eau Claire Department of Management and Marketing, were the faculty coaches.
Inaugurated in 1999, the NCSC is the largest and oldest sales role-play competition in existence. One hundred and thirty-four students from 64 undergraduate teams came from across the United States to participate in this year’s event. The Blugold team has finished in the top 10 eight times since 2003, the first year UW-Eau Claire participated in the competition.
