Due date looming for a research project or final paper? Do you know what to do? For any research — big or small — McIntyre Library staff can offer you help. You can also take a coffee break, play condom bingo, join a photo contest and more this month at McIntyre. So grab your backpack, head to lower campus and get in the zone at McIntyre Library with these activities:
For whatever research project you have, the librarians can help you gather, interpret or present research. Meet face-to-face with a librarian in the Research Center located on McIntyre’s first floor. Schedule a 20-minute session with a librarian. Appointments are available through Nov. 18.
Refuel and stay focused with a cup of Blugold Roast
Students from the Collegiate Entrepreneurs' Organization will sell their Blugold Roast, a special coffee blend they developed. Get a cup from their stand next to the circulation desk from 9-11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, and Thursday, Nov. 17. If you want to see more of Blugold Roast — and a permanent coffee option at McIntyre — sign the petition of support.
Time for fun — condom bingo!
Join the Student Wellness Advocacy Team for a game of condom bingo at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, in the McIntyre Library 24-hour study lounge. Free prizes, condoms and dental dams will be available. Have some fun with SWAT!
Share the season with McIntyre’s photo contest
Share your view of Eau Claire this season: Submit a photo about "Falling for Eau Claire" to email@example.com by Nov. 27. Your photos will line the walls of McIntyre Library for fellow Blugolds to view and appreciate. Voting with a paper ballot will take place from Nov. 28-Dec. 2. The winner will have their piece professionally printed and placed in McIntyre Library as a permanent display.
Look for other activities at McIntyre Library, including maps to know where to go for borrowing equipment (including computer chargers if you forgot yours), signing out group study rooms, studying on silent floors and taking a turn on one of the exercise bikes (second floor).
