Kent Gerberich will serve as UW-Eau Claire's interim director of Learning and Technology Services and as interim chief information officer until May 31, 2021. He assumes these new roles following the May 29 retirement of former LTS director Craig Mey.
Gerberich has been an LTS employee since 2005, and he has served in leadership roles including manager of technical support services and manager of client support services. He also has served as deputy CIO since April 2019 and as associate director of information technology since April 2018.
In his prior roles, Gerberich has provided effective collaboration and communication with community partners on significant campus projects, such as the Pablo Center, and he has worked extensively with UW System leadership to implement information technology practices and policies.
As interim director of LTS and interim chief information officer, Gerberich will oversee implementation of the university’s overall information technology strategic plan in close collaboration with the chancellor’s executive staff, college deans and other departmental leaders.
