How Darius gained power in the Persian Empire is a question many still seek today. With research presented it is now shown how Darius received power through the Achaemenid line of ancestry. With many parts of his family still alive (His father and grandfather) when he took the throne, many question how he made it to the top. The research by Professor Matt Waters clears these questions up.
