Upcoming History Department Events

The History Department has four exciting upcoming events scheduled! Each event is open to all history majors, and students who are interested in history. Please see the History Department social media pages (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) for more information on each event.

“Studying History in Great Britain” Monday, November 5th. 4pm. Hibbard 705.

Come learn more about the Faculty-led Immersion Program in Great Britain this summer. Both Dr. Turner and Dr. Rice will be available for questions. Information on the Winchester University semester study abroad program will also be presented. Dr. Cindy Wood of Winchester University will be in attendance to answer questions. Light refreshments will be served.

“History Careers Panel” Wednesday, November 7th. 3pm. Centennial 2614.

Wondering what you can do with a history degree? Come listen to a panel of UWEC alumni talk about career opportunities. Light refreshments will be served.

“The Historic Graffiti in Winchester Cathedral- An Assessment” Presented by Dr. Cindy Wood of Winchester University. Wednesday, November 7th. 4:30pm. Davies Center Alumni Room.

“History Hopping” Saturday, November 10th. 9am-9pm. Twin Cities.

Join Phi Alpha Theta in the second History Hopping trip in Minneapolis and St. Paul. This trip will include exploring museums and historic sites with fellow history students and faculty. The cost is $25, which includes transportation and museum fees. RSVP to Lizzy Schmidt at schmidea4731@uwec.edu by Sunday, November 4th to reserve your spot.
