The following is an overview of work completed since Sept. 1, 2018, and expected in the next 30 days on UW-Eau Claire construction projects.

Work completed since Sept. 1, 2018
Garfield Avenue redevelopment

- Continued final landscaping.
- Removed construction fencing as landscaping completed.
- Completed handrail installation along sidewalk next to river.
- Reinstalled clock tower.
Marilyn Karlgaard Hall renovation
- Installed blinds in all rooms.
David Karlgaard Hall renovation
- Completed asbestos abatement on floors 10 through 7, began on floors 6 and 5.
- Completed demolition of bathrooms/center section on floors 10 and 9.
- Continued removing exterior brick façade where new lounge windows will be installed.
- Began installing new windows on east side of building.
New residence hall
- Installed block walls on floors 5 and 6.
- Installed precast concrete floors on floors 5 and 6.
- Continued work on electrical and plumbing piping.
- Continued installing steel studs.
Pablo Center at the Confluence
Pablo Center's grand opening was celebrated Sept. 22.
Work to be completed in next 30 days
Garfield Avenue redevelopment
- Complete final landscaping.
- Remove remaining construction fencing (target completion date: Oct. 5).
A celebration of the completion of the Garfield Avenue redevelopment project is planned for Thursday, Oct. 18, from 4:30-6:30 p.m. in the Chippewa River Terrace area across from the Old Library. Watch UW-Eau Claire's news and events page for details!
David Karlgaard Hall renovation
- Continue installing new windows on east side of building.
- Continue asbestos abatement on floors 6 and 5, begin on floor 4.
- Demolition of bathrooms/center section on floors 8 and 7.
