The following is an overview of work completed since April 1, 2019, and expected in the next 60 days on UW-Eau Claire construction projects.
Work completed since April 1, 2019
David Karlgaard Hall renovation
- Installed fixtures and finishes (plumbing, cabinets) on all floors.
- Completed demo of hall director apartment and began reconstruction.
- Installed carpet on remaining floors.
- All work on floors 10 through 4 completed.
Marilyn Karlgaard Hall renovation
Started demo of hall director apartment in preparation for reconstruction.
New residence hall
- Completed drywall installation through floor 6.
- Completed interior painting on floors 2-5.
- Continued installing windows and exterior metal panels.
- Began installing exterior benches on building’s north side.
- Completed mechanical/electrical/plumbing finishes on floors 2 and 3
Garfield Avenue redevelopment
- Conducted testing of irrigation system and completed repairs as needed.
- Identified cracked concrete panels to be replaced from Putnam Hall east to Hibbard Hall.
- Started water feature installation project near Schofield Hall.
Work to be completed in next 60 days
David Karlgaard Hall renovation
- Complete hall director apartment reconstruction.
- Begin landscaping in north courtyard outside new entrance.
- Complete installation of bathroom partitions on floors 3 and 2.
- Complete ceiling grid and carpet installation on floor 1 and in basement.
Marilyn Karlgaard Hall renovation
- Continue hall director apartment reconstruction.
New residence hall
- Complete interior painting on floors 6 and 1.
- Continue installing windows and exterior metal panels.
- Continue installing exterior benches on north side.
- Complete mechanical/electrical/plumbing finishes on floors 4 and 5.
Garfield Avenue redevelopment
- Complete irrigation system commissioning.
- Replace cracked concrete panels from Putnam Hall east to Hibbard Hall.
- Continue water feature installation near Schofield Hall.
- Begin installation of arched campus gateway at Garfield and Park avenues.
