Troy Terhark has been named UW-Eau Claire’s new director of facilities following a national search. Terhark had served as interim facilities director since September 2015, helping navigate the facilities organization through budget cuts, staffing reductions and a fundamental reorganization that ultimately will include all facilities functions across campus.
Terhark joined UW-Eau Claire in 1997 and has held numerous leadership positions, most recently director of University Recreation and Sports Facilities. He has served on numerous committees and work groups, including the University Planning Committee, University Assessment Committee, the “One Stop Shop for Student Services” Rapid Action Task Force (chair), and Fund Balances Working Group. He also was a member of the University Senate from 2004-2008.
Terhark earned a bachelor's degree in exercise management with a business emphasis from UW-Eau Claire and a master's degree in human relations-organizational development from UW-Stout.
