Organizers of the 30th annual Senior Americans Day are seeking volunteers to assist with this year’s event, to be held June 5 in Davies Center at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
Senior Americans Day brings nearly 500 active adults over age 55 to campus for a day of learning, fun and camaraderie. This year, the event features a keynote address by Amy Dee, more than 40 workshops, door prizes, exhibitors and entertainment.
Volunteers are needed for the day of the event between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Volunteer duties may include assisting participants with parking and directions to the day’s workshops, exhibits and lunch; facilitating lunches for event guests; and helping exhibitors/presenters set up and take down materials. All volunteers receive a free T-shirt and gratis lunch ticket, and can sit in on any unfilled workshops.
Individuals interested in volunteering should contact Senior Americans Day coordinator Claire Lindstrom at firstname.lastname@example.org, Alyssa Layton at email@example.com, or may call 715-836-3636.
