| Madison Netzinger

UW-Eau Claire Continuing Education/UW-Extension connects people with possibilities by providing degrees and certificates for working adults, professional and workforce development, youth and community programs, and resources for business.

Following are upcoming programs that provide the opportunity for individuals to grow professionally and personally:

Mastering Change Leadership
May 13-27: online
In today’s fast-paced business culture, managers and leaders are challenged to efficiently and effectively guide their teams through any number of changes. Adapting to these changes can oftentimes be a challenge for employees, so leaders need to understand how to keep their teams motivated and energized when asking them to move from the old way of doing things and inspiring them to embrace the new. Success comes when a leader can clearly communicate and create a focus on the compelling image of success.

Leading Virtual Teams
May 15: online
There are critical fundamental elements of all successful teams, real and virtual. This program offers leaders and team members the knowledge of what it takes to lead versus manage a team. We will gain an understanding of why having a clear vision of the team’s purpose will lead to more success. Managers will learn about creating boundaries and expectations for their team members as well as the importance of reviewing goals, roles and procedures for the accountability of your team.

Strategies for a Successful Remote Workplace
May 19: online
Whether your business or organization has a well-established remote work program or you have recently launched into the world of virtual work, this program will present new strategies for success. This interactive session will be customized to address your unique challenges and needs. Instructor Dr. Scott Lester, UW-Eau Claire professor of management and marketing, will present key strategies for both leaders and their employees to balance trust and accountability and create a positive remote working culture. He will then facilitate a conversation, based on your responses to a pre-course survey. There will be plenty of time for discussion and to learn from others who are also doing their best to make remote work, work, for everyone.
