UW-Eau Claire Continuing Education/UW-Extension connects people with possibilities by providing degrees and certificates for contemporary learners, professional and workforce development, youth and community programs, and resources for business.

Following are upcoming programs that provide the opportunity for individuals to grow professionally and personally.

Summer Writing Camp
July 16-20, Eau Claire 
Are you an aspiring writer? Want to get tips and tricks from writing teachers and experts? Did you know there are as many ways to tell a story as there are people in the world? Be a dreamer and a storyteller while finding your creative voice at UW-Eau Claire this summer. Choose the track that is most interesting to you: Poetry, Novels & Short Stories, Creative Nonfiction & Memoirs or Digital Composition. Write about the subjects that you want; the only assignment is to be you! 

Wound Treatment Associate Online Program
July 23-Oct. 13, online
The Wound Treatment Associate Program is a Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurses (WOCN) Society-endorsed educational program geared toward non-specialty licensed nurses. The WTA program is a 13-week online course, with a post-program onsite skill check at the UW-Eau Claire College of Nursing. The WTA Program can help you with daily patient monitoring, pressure ulcer prevention and basic wound management to improve outcomes for your patients. 

ACT Test Preparation
July 23-31, Eau Claire
This program will help students in grades 10-12 who are looking to score higher on the ACT exam. Participants will take two official, retired ACT exams, write a practice essay, complete sample exercises and skill drills, and learn test-taking strategies and helpful hints. 

Summer Institute: Eau Claire
July 9-19, Eau Claire
Summer Institute has a 40-year tradition of teaching and delighting children across the Chippewa Valley. Your kids will love the variety of activities, and you will appreciate the small classes that promise high-quality learning.

Supervisory Management: Retaining Top Performers
