Continuing Education announces August program offerings

| Claire Pszeniczny

UW-Eau Claire Continuing Education/UW-Extension connects people with possibilities by providing degrees and certificates for contemporary learners, professional and workforce development, youth and community programs, and resources for business.

Following are upcoming programs that provide the opportunity for individuals to grow professionally and personally.

Mentoring for Professional Impact
Aug. 22, Eau Claire
Some degree of mentoring occurs in all organizations. If left to chance, informal mentoring can lead to less than optimal results, particularly if mentors or mentees do not have much experience with such relationships. Why not take control of the mentoring process and create a sustainable culture of performance excellence?

This course will be beneficial in helping mentors and mentees understand both partner roles in a mentoring relationship. Discover strategies for guiding effective mentor/mentee relationships. Explore innovative approaches to building and evaluating mentoring programs tied to performance metrics. This seminar may be taken by itself or as part of the Supervisory Management Certificate Program.

ACT Prep Course Fall 2018
Aug. 25-Oct. 20
Help your student ease their worries and get better prepared by signing them up for an ACT prep course. This holistic course provides a comprehensive review of the ACT test, but also focuses on the specific subject matters that will be covered. Plus, this year we’ve added a section on overall test preparation based on feedback from our past participants.

Each session will show your student how to approach the ACT test through one-on-one attention from expert instructors, practice questions, review of past test booklets and more. Check out a detailed overview of what’s covered in the ACT Test Prep course that’s offered year-round.
